Note the innertubing around the tail of the webbing on the crotch strap. This is to hold in place the excess webbing. I should probably have cut it off once it was properly adjusted but have not done this as it sits comfortably and is not a snag potential.

This is Jim Cobb's crotch strap done with stainless steel bolts, carrage washers and nylock nuts. I know thats a plastic weight retainer but all it's there for is to keep the tow ring in position, nothing more. You cut holes in the webbing using a large nail heated with a propane torch.
